Puppetry is by excellence a field of experimentation, and as so, was always open to new challenges.
In Cinema and particularly in animation cinema, puppets are also a source to new research.
Puppet theatre extends its boundaries and absorbs new technologies.

In animation cinema, in which puppets are used as single, or almost single, characters in the movies, the direction technique lays on the capture of images one by one or stop-motion.

Also present are puppets used in television, being shown in one hand, the similarity of building processes and, in the other hand, the difference of animation and filming processes, here using the Chroma Key technique.
